Complementary colors are sets of colors directly opposite each other on the color wheel. Two colors are complementary if, when mixed together, they produce a neutral color such as black, white, or gray. Note that complementary color pairs in RGB (as shown below) are not the same complementary pairs RYB. Computer monitors and televisions currently using RGB.
